  • Rajat studied my course on "Data Analytics in Social Media" in Fall 2016. He achieves the highest grade in my class, by performing outstanding in both theory and project. His team got the highest score in the course project on the topic: "On the dynamics of local to global campaigns for curbing Gender-based violence (GBV)". Rajat's true strength lies in critically analyzing the social media problem at hand. He is very methodical and dedicated, and will put in the extra time to finish a job. He can thrive alone or in a dynamic team environment. Along with his excellent technical knowledge, he is extremely reliable and always willing to help other team members. He would be a valuable asset for any organization that must manage their operations by the data available to them.

  • I worked with Rajat during Spring 2018 as his project manager/mentor for his senior design course. We tasked Rajat and his team with creating a methodology for choosing the best performing stocks from some arbitrary universe of stocks. His team excelled throughout the entire semester, researching and testing methods such as: Genetic Algorithms, Extra-Tree Classifiers, Deep Neural Nets, and more. Rajat's hard work and attention to detail helped make his project a success. One of Rajat's strongest qualities is his communication skills. We conducting weekly review meetings and required weekly reports, and Rajat and I were continuously exchanging emails to ensure the project objectives and weekly goals were clear; this was a major reason for the success of his project. I believe Rajat's communication skills coupled with his technical abilities would make him an excellent addition to any organization."
